The more realistic you look and sound, the more your audience can believe in the immersion of the character you are portraying. To that end, we believe that quality makes the difference in the tools that professionals use.

With that in mind, we have developed the most advanced, portable, voice modulator system available. The Voice Shifter™  uses a digital signal processor (DSP) found only in high-end audio equipment and ARM® microprocessors, in combination with our integrated amplifier for amazing volume and clarity to our speakers. We also have a Micro-SD card and our proprietary 4 button cable to allow for preset sound effects with simultaneous, real time voice modulation! We use our own hand built state-of-the-art, sub-miniature microphone. With our PRO version using Point Source Audio’s microphones. The same mics used in the Broadway play Hamilton!

Designed specifically for the purpose of professional entertainment. The system is part of an integrated harness that you can hide under your costume. But, is also modular with the speakers, voice shifter and microphone being adjustable on the harness or integrated into your costume without the harness.


PRE- RECORDED SOUND EFFECTS

We use push buttons for your pre-recorded sound effects using our proprietary cable. The four buttons can be placed anywhere on our harness or in your costume for activation. You can play an audio clip at 48 kHz .wav file that you load onto your micro-SD card. Both voice modulation and pre-recorded sound effects/sound clips can play simultaneously if you choose.

One touch to the button/sensor to play pre-set sound effect, press twice to loop pre-set, touch same pre-set again to stop or press another pre-set button/sensor to stop one and play another.

Four pre-set sounds can be played back using the buttons or touch sensors. However, at this time you cannot overlap multiple preset sounds. Button and touch Sensor cable is 48” long to enable placement almost anywhere.

If you use silicone character hands as part of your costume, we highly recommend using the optional force sensing resistors as your buttons for preset sound effects. The sound effects are saved by you on the micro-SD card as wav files, as described above, and played back by pressing your thumb to your fingertip for activation.

The sensors are piezoresistive that use two sets of electrically distinct interdigitated fingers printed on a conductor substrate. A thin spacer separates the circuit from a layer of conductive ink. When a force or pressure, weather from human touch or other source, is applied to the surface of the sensor, the conductive ink creates shunts between the two sets of fingers, completing the circuit and activating the sound effect via our proprietary cable. Extremely thin, and flexible.

TRANSDUCER TECHNOLOGY (SPEAKERS)

BMR is the practical realization of the ideal acoustic radiator; a free, flat disk driven by force by a voice coil. This ideal radiator has flat on-axis SPL and a smooth, extended sound power response.

• BMR speaker technology is a revolutionary high-end solution using a single, flat panel to produce a wide bandwidth sound with exceptional dispersion.

• BMR combines a flat NXT-type panel that with a conventional piston-like driver to provide excellent power handling across an ultra-wide range of frequencies.

• The compact nature of the single BMR driver allows the internal cabinet volume to be reduced for an excellent effect in our miniature enclosure.

• Because the higher frequencies are produced by ‘vibration modes’ over the BMR’s entire surface, dispersion is exceptionally wide sound is reproduced much more realistically. Increased dispersion delivers ultra-wide 180º sound dispersion and an increased sound field, meaning there are no sweet spots, so it sounds great wherever you are.

We use the BMR that uses larger and more efficient magnets which transform more of the music/voice into sound and require less power.

• This new BMR driver is more ‘isotropic’ than the previous version. This means that it is more uniform in all directions, giving even better dispersion and extended treble response. Additionally, fine-tuning BMR Modes has resulted in smoother, more natural sound, reproducing every detail of what is being reproduced.

• The BMR driver combined with our custom case makes for further improved bass handling has a frequency response of 80 Hz to 20,000 kHz. Capable of 100 + dB.

Our standard not waterproof handmade custom microphones are made for us by the industry leader in size and fidelity; you simply cannot find a smaller, more sensitive microphone that is made in America. From a whisper to a scream our mic will handle it all. This microphone is designed specifically for use with loose fitting masks.

The lavalier microphone we use on our Voice Shifter Pro™ is from Point Source Audio® and is ideal for, in our case, tight fitting silicone masks. They are completely camouflaged under the mask. The lavalier mic is IP 57 waterproof rated against water, sweat and makeup—conditions that are commonly harmful to microphones. This little lavalier delivers big results currently on Broadway productions including Hello Dolly!, Present Laughter, and Bandstand.

The second not waterproof microphone is the CR-8S by Point Source Audio® for our Voice Shifter Pro™ for use without masks and is an exceptionally durable cardioid earworn microphone ideal for producing performance grade audio quality that is typically only experienced using a larger format microphone. A cardioid headset microphone will pick up one focused sound from one direction compared to an omni that picks up from several directions. This is necessary when your character does not have a mask. The mic is designed to pick up sound predominately from one direction. No need to force the microphone capsule in front of the mouth either – it is designed to rest at the corner of the mouth to maintain its low-profile appearance. Again this microphone is designed specifically for use without masks.

This microphone also features Point Source Audio® renowned “Unbreakable Boom” bendable to 360° without breakage. Because of its pickup pattern, this cardioid earworn microphone is well suited for high noise environments with live productions. This will allow you to interact with your audience like ever before. The Voice Shifter Pro™ mic can be worn either over the left or right ear, or as a dual earset microphone option giving users multiple ways to wear it.

RECHARGEABLE LITHIUM-ION BATTERY

We use a 12-volt DC battery with 3 amps and 6000mAh of rechargeable lithium-ion battery for our powerful system. The battery is located on the back of our vest for quick change with another of the batteries in case it is needed. However, you may not need to with the battery capable of approximately 8 hours of play time.

The battery has multiple safety systems consisting of over-charge, over-discharge and short-circuit protection. It has 5 LED indicators displaying battery percentage reading from 100 percent to under 25 percent. Wall plug is AC/DC 12.6 1A U.S. charger. Slow charge on this system prolongs the battery which is good for 500 charges.

CONCEALABLE MODULAR HARNESS SYSTEM

Our concealable harness is purposely designed to allow you to use our system in an all-in-one modular harness. Placement of the speakers, voice shifter and microphone are fully adjustable.

The harness is adjustable from a small to large frame. It is made of a soft nylon and scuba material for comfortable wear and durability regardless of your movement. Our system can be integrated into your costume without the harness, with some needed precautions. Everything is included with your Voice Shifter for a complete ready to use system!
